GER³ is pleased to welcome Arvin Catipon as Program Manager for our wildfire recovery and resilience response in Los Angeles.
Arvin brings more than a decade of experience across emergency management, disaster response and recovery, public safety, climate resilience, and risk management in both the United States and the Philippines.
Most recently, Arvin served as Senior Rebuild Navigation Manager with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, where he led wildfire recovery and long-term rebuilding programs across Los Angeles County. His work supported disaster-affected households through the complex process of recovery and reconstruction, while strengthening coordination between public agencies, nonprofit organizations, contractors, donors, and community partners.
Before moving to the United States, Arvin served as a Fire Captain and as Director of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in the Philippines, leading all-hazards preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery efforts across hundreds of communities.
Arvin holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management from the Asian Institute of Management and is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers.
At GER³, Arvin will draw on his international emergency management experience, technical expertise, and community-centered approach to strengthen our ongoing wildfire recovery and resilience programming in Los Angeles.
